Rahil Rezwan completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2018 from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), specializing in optoelectronics and VLSI. His thesis on a “Biometrically Secured Electronic Voting Machine,” supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman (now Pro-VC at AIUB), was later published by IEEE. In 2023, he earned a Master of Science in Photonics from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, while working with Jun. Prof. Giancarlo Soavi on 2D materials. During his master’s program, he also worked at Fraunhofer IOF Jena, Germany with Dr. Olaf Stenzel on thin-film optics. Currently, he is pursuing a dual Ph.D. at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, and the Australian National University, Australia, focusing on ultrafast linear and nonlinear manipulation of 2D materials and their nonlinear characterization.
Current Projects
- Ultrafast modulation of atomically thin flat lens.
- Nonlinear behaviour or 2D Epsilon-Near-Zero metals
