Dr. Gilberto A. Umana-Membreno is a Principal Research Fellow at the Microelectronics Research Group (MRG), The University of Western Australia. His expertise includes characterization and modelling of electronic transport and defect-related effects in semiconductor materials, and optimization of electronic and optoelectronic semiconductor devices. His current research activities are in the development and optimization madetrials and devices for infrared sensing, as well as in the investigation of fundamental of electronic processes in novel nanostructured elecronic and optoelectronic devices.
Dr. Umana-Membreno is a Senior Industry Support Engineer for the Australian National Fabrication Facility.
